"don't go." I said following after him quickly. "I guess the being lost was pretty lame." I said lookign to the ground. "You just looked interesting that's all. A change from th eother person I've been hanging with all day. PLus the moss." I said nodding back towards the graveyard where mos shung aroudn the trees aplenty.

"being alone out here give me the creeps if you know what I mean." I said with a smile.

I noticed him eye my journal. "It's a bunch of scribbles..."

I had to get out of the crypt. It's nothign personal, but Harmony's incessant rablings can damage a poetic soul such as myself, so I decided to leave, journal in hand. That's when I saw him. I can't explain what I felt in any word other than overpowering.

He moved so poetically, like a viking out of a dream. His steps was kind, and fluid, he moved like liquid. I hurried my exit, and came out, just as he was passing the cemetary gate.

"Excuse me, but, if this isn't too rude, can I ask who you are?" I said, a small smile decorating my face. I clutched my black notebook full of ramblings and poems close.

"it's just, I happen to be quite lost, I was wondering if you could help me." I want to sink my teeth into the flesh of his neck..no, it wasn't that kind of want..it was different. I wanted him.

"Oh." I said voice trailing slightly. "So I get all gross looking, and then bite him and suck?" I asked, it sounded easy enough. Ok, I coudl do this.

I took a few steps closer to the homeless person, and it was intense. The wave of ferocity that swept over me, I began to act on instinct, no thought process necessary. I was poetry in motion.

I was fiction, nothign like me could exist in reality. And yet, I walked, I talked, and I fed.

I felt my face itch as wrinkles erupted from my flesh. My canines elongated, and protruded from my mouth. I walked up to the homeless man, and grabbe dhis shoulders forcefully, I had the strength of ten grown men.

He trembled a little behind his smudged, dirt covered face. "What..?" He asked voice shakey.

"I am death incarnate." My hand touching the cheek of his face, "I am the immortal visage of pain, and torment, no one knows suffering like I, yet you will go swiftly to the beyond, I hope you've payed your dues to your god." I said what an epic, I'd have to write that in my journal before I forgot it.

And it wa sat that moment, that I sank my teeth into the dirty, flesh of his neck. It was my first time to feed, and I was dirty, uncareful, I wa slike a starving, wild animal. When I was done, my shirt was soaked in crimson splashes, I looked to his lifeless form, and caressed his face in my hands.

"You went peacefully, to serve an immortal, may the fates treat you as you deserve." I threw his body onto his shopping cart, and turned, my eyes wide with plesure.

"that was astounding!" I exclaimed walking back to Harmony.

"Uh huh yeah." She said rolling her eyes. "Now we go back, the sun's gonna be up in a little while anyway." She said grabbing my arm and dragging me behind her.

"I feel utterly invincible, I am the child of death! I am the future of tomorrow, as the sun sets on the lives of mortals!" I said with a mad grin.

"Why'd I have to change a poet!" She yelled in frustration.

It didn't bother me, I was immortal, nothing could hurt me, nor would it ever. I was a god.

I had never tasted death before, nor did I expect it to be so sweet.

I thought we were going to talk, spread a few polite words between old high school chums. I was wrong. I hadn't seen Harmony Kendall since graduation, and have never claimed to want to see her. But alas I did, outside that 24 hour ice cream store. She was eating with a small, petite young, blonde, girl, who I assumed was her sister.

When all of a sudden she came chasing after me, wanting to 'talk'. Our talk was nothing more than your run of the mill, boring, idle chit chat. Until I asked her how her post college life was. She smiled sweetly, and then her face, shifted, changed somehow. And I was no longer looking at Sunnydale High's ex princess, I was looking at a monster. She answered my question with "I wouldn't know, I never left."

And then, I sacrificed myself nobley for the common good. Or it sounds more noble that way, as she sank her elongated canines into the tender flesh of my neck, and drank me into darkness.

Ah how I found bliss in ignorance that night.

I awoke in darkness, I felt odd, slightly groggy, as if it were all a dream, but then it hit. Far too powerful to be anything of mortal demise. I was a god. Or a vamprie relatively speaking. I could feel the blood lust, and i could hear the worms in the earth, and smell the sweet scent of dank top soil. I was a creature of the night.

I had never felt so alive before. It was amazing. Had I a still beating heart, it would have run rampant within my chest. I could comprehend the darkness, understand it's deepest hidden motives. What poetry!

I clawed my way through the wooden mortal casket, it could not stop me, for I was the mighty vampire. I clawed through six grueling feet of dirt, until I emerged upon the surface. A new child born from the flesh of the planet. As I loooked upon the world with my new vampiric eyes, I saw her.

Hands placed on her delicate hips, blowing a large, bright, pink, bubble with a huge wad of gum. "It's about time!" She said rolling her eyes, brushing some of the dirt from my clothes. "I so don't remember it ever taking this long for me to rise! I thought I had done something wrong." She said with a grin.

Even in death Harmony was still Harmony, as I was still the tormented, and tortured poet, I was in life. "I feel oddly different." I said after a few minutes of surveying the graveyard.

"Well duh!" She said with an exasperated sigh. "You're a vampire now, and you're hungry, so let's go find some poor bum on the street, so you can eat, and then we'll go back to the crypt....Because I'm so missing Ricki Lake!" She said turning to walk away.

"Bum...crypt?" I said questioningly. It wa shard enough to adjust to my new senses, now I had to comprehend to her babblings as well.

"Yeah, bum...hobo, equals food. And crypt is where we live during the day so we're not all ahhh! the sun! and go poof!" She tapped her leather clas foot impatiently. "Dont' you know anything about being a vampire? Sheesh!"

I might not know about being a vamipire, but I was slowly learning what it felt like to crave the sweet taste of blood. "Yes, food." I said As I turned to follow behind her.
